The Lawnmowers Theatre Company - Mate/ Hate Crime Awareness

Come and join the Lawnmowers Theatre Company, a theatre company ran by for and with people with learning disabilities as they explore the issue of mate crime through a live show.

The training will involve a 20-minute showing of their play called "Friday Friends." This play highlights the risks that People with Learning disabilities face and how vulnerable they can be. We discuss what true friendship means and how people vulnerabilities can be exploited. You will also get the chance to look at the failings to protect our character and how it could have gone better by rerunning the play to see what support and choice was available to the character.

Our seasoned and highly trained learning disabled actors will also train your safeguarding gut. You will meet in role characters where you as the learner will decided whether there is a true safeguarding risk and need to act.
